Take Immediate Action:

  • Retrace Your Steps: Think back to the last place you remember having your phone. Was it at security, baggage claim, a specific terminal, or perhaps a restaurant? This will help you determine where to begin your search.
  • Utilize Find My Phone: If you haven't already, activate "Find My Phone" on another device. This allows you to locate your phone on a map, remotely lock it to prevent unauthorized access, or even erase your data if necessary.

Contact LAX Lost and Found:

  • File a Lost Item Claim: Head to the LAX Lost and Found website and submit a detailed claim. Be sure to include the specific location where you think you lost your phone, its make and model, and any distinguishing features like a case or screen protector.
  • Make Contact: The LAX Lost and Found can be reached by phone at (310) 464-5678 (select prompt 4, then prompt 1). However, due to high call volume, filing a claim online is often the fastest option.

Additional Tips:

  • Contact Your Carrier: Inform your phone carrier about the lost phone. They can potentially suspend your line to prevent unauthorized charges.
  • Report the Phone Stolen (if applicable): If you suspect your phone might have been stolen, file a police report with the LAX Airport Police Department. You can do this online or by calling 424-646-6100.
